Why Does 'Stage Wives' Exist?
You don’t see them on stage...
You don’t hear them in the spotlight...
But behind nearly every man on the road
is a woman back home, quietly making it all work.

She’s juggling school drop-offs, birthdays, toddler meltdowns, flat tires, and late-night FaceTime calls to keep connected with their spouse.
She’s smiling when people say, “That must be so cool,” and nodding politely when they ask, “Wait… but how does that even work?” or "He's gone how long??"

It’s beautiful. It’s lonely. It’s misunderstood.
And THAT'S why Stage Wives was created. This isn’t a fan club. It’s a lifeline.
A place for women who love someone on the road to connect with each other, share the weight, and be reminded they’re not invisible. We gather in private online spaces, swap real-life resources, plan local meetups, and remind one another: you’re doing better than you think.
If you’re here because you love one of these women or just want to help, thank you.
Meet the Founders
Stage Wives was created by two women who know this life firsthand—married to touring audio engineers and raising families while their husbands chased the music. What started as a friendship and a two-person support system they didn't know they needed, developed a movement to support women living in the quiet, powerful background of the road life. They're committed to building the community they wished they had when it all began.

FOUNDER
RACHEL (RAY)
My husband has spent his entire career in the touring industry, which means I've spent mine learning the rhythms of loving someone from miles away, coparenting across time zones, and navigating the deep beauty and unique ache of this lifestyle.

After nearly a decade of marriage, we're still learning, still growing, and still choosing each other every day, even in the chaos of midnight calls, missed birthdays, and video bedtime stories.

FOUNDER
RHYAN (RHY)
I spent 11 years as a Stage Wife, married to a full-time touring professional who was on the road nearly 280 days a year. That season of my life gave me a deep understanding of the beauty and challenges that come with holding down the fort while the one you love is out on the road.

My heart is to offer encouragement, connection, and real-life tools for women in this unique lifestyle. Whether you're thriving in your rhythm or still finding your footing, this space is for you.
