Syncing with the setlist

Scripture:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Touring life runs on setlists... pre-planned orders of songs and transitions that keep the show flowing. But even the best setlists get adjust mid-show. Something shifts. The audience vibe changes. An issue arises. A moments calls for flexibility.
Marriage to a touring professional often feels like living in that same fluid rhythm.
You plan your week, then a gig gets added. You schedule a call, then soundcheck runs long. You prepare for his return, then a delay changes everything. It's easy to feel frustrated when your "setlist" keeps getting altered.
But there's a holy flexibility God invites us into... a trust that HIS plan is always right.
He knows the right moments for rest. For growth. For reunion. For distance. When we sync our spirit to His rhythm, even the changes start to feel sacred. We find that there's grace in the unscheduled and peace in the pivot.
Reflection Prompt:
Where have I been resisting change or clinging to my own setlist?
How might God be reordering things for my good?
Prayer:
Father, help me let go of my tightly held schedule and release my plans into Your hands. You know the rhythm I need, even when I don't. You're not surprised by these changes. Teach me to trust the changes and lean into the divine timing You've already prepared. Amen
Journal Activity:
Take out your calendar. Circle or highlight one thing this week that didn't go as planned. Write beside it: "God can use this shift for my good."
